This $14.6 million project moved 56,000 cubic yards of earth during construction to level off the road and create a safer intersection and eco-friendly structure. What should’ve taken three months to complete, this skilled project team replaced the bridge in just two short weeks. ## Replacing the Hartford County Bridge With traffic congestion and drivers frequently accelerating up the slope from a dead stop at red lights, the intersection became especially difficult to navigate on icy, snow-covered roads.
