The Hartford County Bridge in Avon, Connecticut, presented drivers with a steep hill and bad sight lines at Route 10 and Old Farms Road for far too long. This $14.6 million project moved 56,000 cubic yards of earth during construction to level off the road and create a safer intersection and eco-friendly structure.
