  • Congratulations to the winners of the 2021 PCI Design Awards! Three jury panels consisting of architects, engineers, and precast concrete producers selected a total of 28 project winners and 12 honorable mentions, including a winner for each Specials award. Our regional producers that won awards include High Concrete Group, Northeast Prestressed Products and Shockey Precast. Read more about each of the winners on the PCI website.

  • Marc Basnight Bridge American Infrastructure’s 2020 Bridge of the Year! Marc Basnight Bridge, recipient of the 2020 PCI Design Awards for Sustainable Design and Best Bridge with a Main Span more than 150 feet, has been awarded American Infrastructure’s 2020 Bridge of the Year. This precast concrete bridge can withstand 84 feet of erosion, hurricane-level winds, and impacts by the occasional passing ship. Using precast concrete facilitated much faster, safer, and higher-quality construction in the harsh marine environment. This award-winning bridge is built to withstand 100 years.   • How Precast Builds Parking Structures. Erected in just two months, the five-level, 143,000-SF precast garage provides 540 new spaces for residents and patrons of the Fairfield at Woodland Park. Shockey Precast produced the garage as part of the exciting 1.6 million SF Woodland Park East mixed-use development coming to the Herndon Metro Station area thanks to extension of the Silver Line metro.” Click here to Shockey Precast’s LinkedIn post!
