  • Congratulations to all the winners and honorable mentions of the 2022 PCI Design Awards. Three jury panels consisting of architects, engineers, and precast concrete producers selected a total of 29 winners and 13 honorable mentions. You can find project details, project teams, and photos on the PCI website. The PCI Design Awards program recognizes design excellence and construction quality using precast concrete. This awards program helps to recognize innovative and advanced technology and ideas. All winning projects and teams will be showcased at the 2022 PCI Convention, March 1-5, in Kansas City, Missouri. A cocktail reception will be held Friday, March 4, to honor the winners.

    1. PennStress, Roaring Spring, PA. “Transportation Award: Best Rehabilitated Bridge,” The Arlington Memorial Bridge Rehabilitation, Washington, DC.
    2. Coastal Precast Systems, Chesapeake, VA. “Transportation Special Solution,” Veterans Drive Precast Seawall, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
    3. High Concrete Group, Denver, PA. “Healthcare and Medical Honorable Mention,” University of Pennsylvania Health System Tower, Philadelphia, PA.
  • Smith-Midland Board of Directors Appoints Ashley B. Smith to Serve as Chairman.
